(CBS) The Blackhawks signed forward Alexandre Fortin in a three-year contract, they announced Sunday.
The 19-year-old Fortin had 43 points in 54 regular season games for Rouyn-Noranda in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season. He is a native of Laval, Quebec, who went undrafted.
On Monday, the Blackhawks ready the alignment of training camp to 57 players by releasing forward Radovan Bondra, John Dahlstrom, Nathan Noel and Roy Radke.
